Three letters from Shams al-Dawlah [wife of Nasir al-Din Shah] including two letters to ‘Azud al-Mulk and a letter of complaint to an unidentified person regarding the arrest of her brother, ‘Ayn al-Dawlah [‘Abd al-Majid Mirza]. The first letter is about the decree for ‘Ayn al-Dawlah in which she complains about ‘Azud al-Mulk's delay in sealing the decree and asks him to speed up the process and otherwise, to send it back with the messenger Mirza Ahmad Khan. Letter about visiting the Crown Prince in Tabriz
The writer talks about his mission to Tabriz and visit to the Crown Prince [Muzaffar al-Din Mirza], how this mission had failed and the Crown Prince had refused to see him, saying that he did not need a tutor. He describes the Crown Prince's outrage and adds that Shukuh al-Saltanah knew all along that this mission was doomed to fail. Letter probably from Qahraman Mirza Salur (‘Ayn al-Saltanah) with a list of daily expenses; writing from Alamut, Qazvin, he talks about his bad health and expresses his disappointment that the recipient had not told him about her/his journey to Mecca, while also asking her/him to sacrifice a sheep on his behalf. ‘Ayn al-Saltanah also talks about his intention to travel to Beirut to visit Hurmuz Mirza [his nephew].
